About Me

My name is Monica Fencil, and I'm from a smaller town, Butler, Pennsylvania. I am currently pursuing a degree in Exercise Science (Pre-Physical Therapy) at Kent State University, where I have built a strong academic foundation in human anatomy, biomechanics, and athlete development.

Growing up, I was always fascinated by how the human body moves, heals, and adapts. My love for sports and physical performance, combined with the desire to help others overcome challenges, led me to choose the path of becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I am passionate about working with professional and collegiate athletes, helping them recover from injuries and return to doing what they love. Stronger and more resilient than ever.

Beyond the classroom, I enjoy staying active, whether it is at the gym or exploring new outdoor activites. I am also deeply interested in the mental side of sports performance, including motivation, resilience, and leadership development - all of which I aim to integrate into my future practice as a physical therapist.

Looking ahead, my goal is to complete my DPT degree, earn certifications in sports rehabilitation, and work within athletic organizations that prioritize both the physical and mental well-being of their athletes. I believe healthcare professionals not only do the treatment of injuries but they also inspire confidence and educate athletes about their bodies.

Thank you for visiting my portfolio - I am excited to share my professional journey with you!
